I'm Mario — the person behind the camera at Mazzanti Studio.

Before photography, I served in the military. It's where I picked up the organisation and attention to detail I bring to every shoot — turning up prepared, planning around your day rather than working against it — and it's probably also why I don't try to control a room the way some photographers do. I'm used to reading people, staying calm when a day doesn't go to plan, and finding the thing that gets someone talking about themselves instead of freezing up in front of a lens.

Photography came later in life for me, but it's quickly become something I care about deeply. What started as picking up a camera to capture moments has grown into a genuine love for documenting people, atmosphere, and real stories — weddings, families, and events across Lincolnshire.

I recently photographed my first wedding, and it confirmed exactly why I do this. Documentary-style photography — honest, emotional, unposed — is where I want to be, and it's the same approach I bring to every family session and event.

If being in front of a camera doesn't feel natural to you, that's normal — it doesn't for most people. My job is to help you forget it's there and make you comfortable.
